Chris Warren
Chris Warren is Director of Performance at TruEffort Training Center. TruEffort’s mission is to provide an athlete with a high level of training based on the time-tested strength and conditioning principles as well as the latest in sports science for all athletic levels and abilities.
Chris began his strength and conditioning career at Texas A&M after his sports playing career concluded. While at Texas A&M Chris helped to implement successful strength and conditioning programs for various sports under the guidance of Raychelle Ellsworth and Ben Pollard. In 2009, Chris set out to establish a training center where athletes from all sports could go to advance their physical strength, mental fortitude, and specific sports conditioning.
Chris’s philosophy is to create an environment that is conducive to the development of champion caliber athletes, much like the Olympic Training Centers. This lead him to establish the first TruEffort Training Facility in Austin, Texas in 2009. TruEffort Training Centers are built around the concept that every athlete has the capabilities to become a champion in his or her own right, but to truly become one of the “greats” an athlete must combine their own natural athletic talents with an unrelenting dedication to the pursuit of peak physical and mental conditioning.

Coleen Watson
Coach Coleen originally hails from Shreveport Louisiana. Half of her childhood was spent on the basketball court, and softball field, until when she was 13 she was pointed in the direction of the acclaimed coach, and kinesiology researcher Kyle Pierce. Upon joining the Shreveport-Bossier Weightlifting team she fell in love with the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.
Throughout high school Coleen trained and competed in Weightlifting alongside 2008 Olympic team member Kendrick Ferris, who was also in high school at the time. During this time she made dents in the school-age division. In 2003 she won the 75+ kilogram weight class at the National School-age Championships, earning her a spot on the first ever Pan-American School-age Championship team. Also during this time Coleen competed on the C.E. Byrd Track and Field team where she had a good four years throwing shot-put and discuss.
After graduating high school Coleen moved to Austin to attend St. Edward’s University. Not wanting to give up weightlifting in college she got in touch with Ursula Garza, herself a former Senior World Team member throughout the 1990s, who has been her coach ever since. Since then Coleen has been on the medal podium at several national events, including 3rd place at the 2007 National Jr. Championships, 2nd place at the 2009 Collegiate National Championships, and 1st place at the 2010 Collegiate National Championships.
Coleen graduated from St. Edward’s University in December 2009 with a B.A. in Philosophy.
