Chris Warren

Chris Warren is Director of Performance at TruEffort Training Center.
Chris graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in kinesiology. He was a member of the Aggie football team and upon the conclusion of his playing career he took on an internship role with the strength and conditioning program. After receiving his degree in kinesiology, Chris began work towards his goal of establishing a training center where individuals from all training levels could go to advance their physical strength, mental fortitude, and/or specific sports conditioning. This lead him to establish the first TruEffort Training Facility in Round Rock, Texas in 2009.


Morgan Warren

Director of Female Performance

Morgan Warren is Director of Female Sports at TruEffort Training Center. Morgan received her bachelors degree in General Studies with a minor in coaching from Teas A&M University where she was a four-year letterman for the Aggie softball team.

As the Director of Female Sports for TruEffort Training Center, Morgan designs and implements performance training systems for elite youth, high school, and collegiate athletes. Morgan specializes in fast pitch softball, in season and off-season preparation. She is committed to helping TruEffort female athletes reach their peak performance potential through proper coaching instruction, diet counseling and time-tested principles of sports performance.

Jon Doglio

Assistant Conditioning Coach/Running Coach

Jon is a former collegiate track athlete. Jon designs the conditioning programs for all of TruEfforts’ athletes and non-athletes. Jon is an engineer by trade, which gives him an excellent eye for the fine details it takes to perfect an individuals running technique. Jon also provides nutritional counseling and is head chef for the cooking classes TruEffort provides.

Niki Prekas

General Fitness Class Coach/Nutrition Coach

Niki is a certified personal trainer and is the head fitness coach. She also offers nutrition and diet counseling for individuals needing help with getting their eating habits in line with their fitness goals. She is a former gymnast and cheerleader and currently competes as an amateur boxer. She was the 2010 Austin regional golden glove champion.

Branden Samuelson

Brandon is our nutritional expert. He is the head nutritional coach for all of our competitive athletes. He also works closely with individuals who seek to take there physique and health to new levels. He is an amateur bodybuilder looking to turn pro in the near future.

Mike Bell

Assistant Conditioning Coach/Team Weightlifting Coach

Mike is a former Marine medic. He has been actively competitive in martial arts and weightlifting for most of his life. He is currently attending the University of Texas to pursue a career in sports medicine.

Coleen Watson

Coach Coleen originally hails from Shreveport Louisiana. Half of her childhood was spent on the basketball court, and softball field, until when she was 13 she was pointed in the direction of the acclaimed coach, and kinesiology researcher Kyle Pierce. Upon joining the Shreveport-Bossier Weightlifting team she fell in love with the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.

Throughout high school Coleen trained and competed in Weightlifting alongside 2008 Olympic team member Kendrick Ferris, who was also in high school at the time. During this time she made dents in the school-age division. In 2003 she won the 75+ kilogram weight class at the National School-age Championships, earning her a spot on the first ever Pan-American School-age Championship team. Also during this time Coleen competed on the C.E. Byrd Track and Field team where she had a good four years throwing shot-put and discuss.

After graduating high school Coleen moved to Austin to attend St. Edward’s University. Not wanting to give up weightlifting in college she got in touch with Ursula Garza, herself a former Senior World Team member throughout the 1990s, who has been her coach ever since. Since then Coleen has been on the medal podium at several national events, including 3rd place at the 2007 National Jr. Championships, 2nd place at the 2009 Collegiate National Championships, and 1st place at the 2010 Collegiate National Championships.

Coleen graduated from St. Edward’s University in December 2009 with a B.A. in Philosophy. She continues to pursue high aspiration in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, and is excited to also be a part of the coaching staff at TruEffort. She hopes to continue her success in weightlifting and help others accomplish their own athletic successes.
